The RH College of Nursing follows the syllabus laid down by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The nursing curriculum allows students to take part in rural and urban health camps, educational field visits, and simulation labs. It is visualized that the college of nursing renders relentless service to the society in terms of nursing care and equips the students in terms of educational, personal, and professional growth. The ultimate purpose of the curriculum is to train and prepare the students to be professionals in order to champion the cause of quality nursing in all the fields concerned.
The courses offered provide a well-structured academic platform for continuing nursing education and producing full-fledged health care professionals. The management and the faculty of the college pledge and accede to the responsibility of helping the students to get acclimatized to new situations and to provide them with umpteen opportunities to develop themselves and grow into responsible global citizens and competent practitioners.
The RH College of Nursing aspires to be a centre of excellence for providing quality education, promoting research activities and producing intellectually enlightened, morally upright, emotionally balanced, and socially committed health care professionals.
The RH College of Nursing is dedicated to educating the students for national and international careers in nursing. The accomplishment of the mission is envisaged through training them with critical and creative thinking with life-changing curricula through experiential learning to serve patients with compassionate care.
Students are liable to pay the Tuition fee on a regular basis. In the subsequent years, fee should be paid before the following academic year. Fee for SNA activities, sports day, cultural day, has to be paid separately. Mess fee is to be paid before the first week of the following month. Fee once remitted will not be refunded on discontinuation of the course. After the closing date of admission students are liable to pay liquidated damage to the college.
The students attending classes and assigned duty shall wear the prescribed uniform. Students shall wear neat and decent dress during off duty hours inside the campus; they shall not wear semi-transparent or body tight dress, sleeveless jackets in the campus. Students shall not use excess jewellery.
Student communications intended for higher authorities must be submitted through the proper channel. Proper & prior permission must be obtained from the Principal before organising any group activities. Students should refrain from damaging college property. Undesired activities such as taking of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, smoking, using vulgar language and indulging in violence are strictly prohibited.
The parents and guardians are advised to go through the rules and regulations of the college & Hostel and co-operate with the management, Principal, and staff members to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the college. Students are expected to abide by the rules & regulations of the institution. In case of any breakage/loss of hospital or college property, it shall be made good promptly, either individually or collectively.
The management, following due enquiry procedure, has the right to expel any student whose conduct and character are not satisfactory. Disturbing the peace in the campus as well as clinical area will be prosecuted by the head of the institution reserving the right to suspend/ dismiss the student without any explanation. Students should wear their identity cards always.
Students are expected to be seated in the lecture hall/practical hall, 10 minutes before the commencement of the lecture/practical. Late comers will not be permitted to enter the class. Late arrival and early departure at or from a class or lab are recorded as absence from the class.
A student who faces academic or other problems can approach their class teacher for redressal of their grievances.
Every student should have a minimum of 80% attendance to be eligible to take the university Examination. Students who are absent on medical grounds should produce a valid medical certificate along with the requisition letter for leave signed by parents. Leave taken under medical grounds cannot be taken into account for attendance.
The hostel is located in the campus with clean, comfortable, and well-ventilated living space that includes the following amenities: 24x7 warden on campus, 360° CCTV cameras, sick bays, recreation room, TV lounge, visitors room, pharmacy & stationery stall. It is a home away from home.
Each student must occupy the room allotted to her/him for the session by the wardens. No electric stoves, room heaters or electrical appliances etc. are allowed. No student shall keep any unauthorized person in her/his room. Parents, brothers, sisters are allowed to visit the hostel with the permission of the warden and are given identity cards.
The college has well-equipped lab facilities to train the students before their clinical posting. The simulation lab has sophisticated simulators for practice before the actual clinical experience. We have adequate lab facilities as per INC requirements.
The college has a spacious library with books, journals, and periodicals. It has internet facility provided in the reference section. The students have access to the Dr. Y.S.R UHS e-library. A computer lab has been set up to provide knowledge to the students according to the prescribed curriculum.
The college buses are available for students to provide practical exposure of clinical, community visits, and trips.
We have our own Ramesh hospitals with 350 beds located in the heart of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The College is 7km away from the clinical facilities. The hospital has various specialised departments including operation theatres, medical & surgical ICU’s, well-equipped with new technology pathology, microbiology, a blood bank, MRI, CT scan (256 slice), ultrasonography, mammography, etc.
The nursing college has a spacious playground where students can practice various outdoor games. Sports day is conducted annually for the students.
As a matter of policy, the students are not relieved during the course of study. If any student, after admission to the programme, decides to withdraw voluntarily, she/he shall have to communicate her/his decision in writing along with their parent’s consent letter. The student is required to pay the fees for the remaining tenure of the programme. Fees already paid will not be refunded.
Ragging in any form is a punishable offence and committing this act of indiscipline shall result in instant cancellation of the student’s admission to the course or rustication. The Anti-Sexual harassment committee, comprising members from teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students, looks into the matters related to sexual harassment in the college.

8. Rustication from the institution for periods varying from 1 to 2 semesters
9. Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution
10. Fine up to Rs. 25,000/-
11. Rigorous imprisonment up to three years (awarded only by a court of law).
Students are encouraged to participate in various sports & games. Outdoor and indoor games are arranged for the students. Activities like singing, dancing, etc. are part of our cultural events. Students will be taken to parks and picnic spots for recreation and a change from the routine schedule.
